Athletic Coaches are required to be trained in First Aid, CPR and AED to ensure the safety and well-being of athletics during practices and competitions.
The training includes recognizing and responding to emergencies such as cardiac arrest, breathing problems, injuries, and other medical conditions.

Athletes encounter many medical emergencies. Life-Threatening bleeding could be one of these emergencies. Coaches are trained how to handle severe blood loss and how to quickly apply direct pressure and proper use of a tourniquet.
