Athletic Coaches

Athletic Coaches are required to be trained in First Aid, CPR and AED to ensure the safety and well-being of athletics during practices and competitions. 

The training includes recognizing and responding to emergencies such as cardiac arrest, breathing problems, injuries, and other medical conditions.

First Aid, CPR/AED 

This training equips coaches with the knowledge and skills to respond quickly and effectively to situations such as sudden cardiac arrest, breathing difficulties, and injuries like fractures or concussions. Knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED can be lifesaving, especially in time-critical emergencies.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training

Bloodborne pathogens training is a vital component of first aid education, especially for individuals who may come into contact with blood or bodily fluids while providing care. Learn the risks of exposure of infectious diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B and C.

Life Threatening Bleeding and Tourniquet Application

Athletes encounter many medical emergencies. Life-Threatening bleeding could be one of these emergencies. Coaches are trained how to handle severe blood loss and how to quickly apply direct pressure and proper use of a tourniquet.
